During the summer, this tour covers all the sights of the South Coast and the visit to the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond Beach; you don´t need to book the South Coast Tour separately.
During winter, the tour only covers the Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach, and potentially some sights of the South Coast based on daylight and weather.

TOUR DESCRIPTION

Full-day tour around the South Coast and to the Glacier Lagoon and Diamond beach.

On the South Coast, we have some of the most beautiful things in the world, like Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. We will also visit the hidden waterfall located near Seljalandfoss.

This tour also includes black sandy beaches and coastal landscapes like Reynisfjara black beach. If lucky, we can spot some very colorful puffins in the summertime. Vík and surrounding areas have been a film location for many movies, including Noah, The Star Wars Saga, Games of Thrones from HBO, Batman, and many other blockbusters.

Jökulsárlón is a lake filled with meltwater and icebergs from an outlet glacier near the Vatnajöjull National Park. It has a max depth of 248 meters and covers about 18 km.

We can enjoy a boat ride on the lagoon, visit the Diamond Beach nearby, explore the Fjadrárgljúfur Canyon, and do many other activities on the South Coast.

As an extra activity, we can visit the famous 'Dragonglass Ice Cave', located in Kötlujökull Glacier, which is an outlet glacier of Mýrdalsjökull glacier, with Katla Volcano underneath. Inside the cave, the combination of the colors of the ice is truly spectacular and well-known because of the Game of Thrones show on HBO.

The tour takes up to 14 hours, covering a long driving distance with many beautiful stops, including sights from the standard South Coast Tour.
