Discover the hidden wonders of South Iceland. Truly a wonderful day tour exploring some of the most iconic places in the country.
Stunning landscape shaped and formed by a glacier and volcanic activity. We will see one of the most famous volcanos globally, Eyjafjallajökull (pronounced AY-uh-fyat-luh-YOE-kuutl) or the ash cloud mountain that stopped air traffic worldwide in 2010, and the dangerous volcano Katla in the distance.
A day tour in Iceland has to include waterfalls, and on the South Coast, we have some of the most beautiful in the world like Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss where you can walk behind. On our tour, we will also visit hidden and the beaten track waterfalls. But we will, of course, not disclose where they are.
Black sandy beaches and coastal landscapes like Reynisfjara are also part of this excursion. If we are lucky in the summertime, we can spot some very colorful puffins on their home Dyrholaey.
As optional, a hike on the Solheimajokull glacier, but don’t worry if you don’t want to hike on the glacier because we can admire it from a distance without wearing our glacier gear on. If you would like to add a tour to the famous plane wreck at Solheimasandur site, we can accommodate that. Join us for this full-day tour of adventures and excitement around the South Coast of Iceland.
