Experience from a distance, the stunning landscapes shaped and formed by a glacier and volcanic activity. We will see one of the most famous volcanos globally, Eyjafjallajökull (pronounced AY-uh-fiat-luh-YOE-kuutl), the one that stopped air traffic worldwide in 2010, and the dangerous volcano Katla, both visible while on this tour and weather permitting.

A day tour in Iceland always includes waterfalls, and on the South Coast, we have some of the most beautiful in the world like Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss. We will also visit the hidden waterfall located nearby Seljalandfoss.

This tour also includes black sandy beaches and coastal landscapes like Reynisfjara black beach. If we are lucky in the summertime, we can spot some very colorful puffins. Vík and surrounding areas have been a film location for many movies, including Noah, The Star Wars Saga, Games of Thrones from HBO, Batman, and many other blockbusters.

As an optional activity, you can hike on the Solheimajokull glacier. Don’t worry if you don’t want to hike because we can admire it from a distance without wearing glacier gear.

If you want to see the famous plane wreck at the Solheimasandur, enjoy the Lava Show in Vík, or even do the snowmobile tour, we can accommodate that.
