TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR TOURS & PACKAGES

2Go Iceland Travel is operated by Go Ltd (ehf.)., a fully certified Travel Agency (ID-2017-028), authorized by the Icelandic Tourist Board with registration number 5506171370.

 

Go ehf. Operates under the following domains and brands (2goiceland.com, bookingiceland.com, fagradalsfjallvolcano.com, kubuferdir.is). The same policy applies to other domains parked under Go ehf and redirecting to any of our primary domains.

 

The short version of our terms and conditions applies explicitly to our tours & packages and neglects the cancelation and payment policy from our extended version until further notice.

Below are its terms and conditions as it applies to users who book or participate in a tour or any related services or products.

By booking through Go ehf. (2goiceland.com, bookingiceland.com, fagradalsfjallvolcano.com, kubuferdir.is), you admit that you have read, comprehended, and consent to be bound by these terms. You must have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of other participants in your party if you make a booking on behalf of other participants.

1a.  CANCELATION FLEXIBILITY POLICY (CFP)

  • We are very flexible when you can't do the tour due to flight cancellations, delays, pandemics, or other exceptional circumstances. We will negotiate a flexible plan for travel packages with other agencies and reschedule the day tours you have booked with us. 

  • Refunds will be considered based on the type of cancelation. Refunds will always include a minimum of 5% charge to cover transactional fees due to the refund process. 

1b. PAYMENTS, PRICES & DISCOUNTS

  • 1b.a. For all tours and activities: After confirmation and payment by card (Visa, MC, Amex, or bank wire for packages or multi-day tours), you will receive a secure payment link and pay the total amount for the tour, or the tour will be available to pay online.

 

  • 1b.b. For Multi-Days Package: Your travel agent will decide the amount to pay to secure the booking and the due date for the last payment. A one-time fee will be added to the final payment agreement unless the due amount is paid by wire transfer. Credit card processing fees are calculated based on the rate from our payment provider, currently 2.9% for Visa and Mastercard and 3.9% for American Express. These fees can be included or not in the final payment. We will offer an extra fee to settle the total price and due fees if the fees are not paid. Ref: 9.5.

  • 1b.c. For packages including overnight as part of the program, an extra fee will be calculated for the guide's accommodation with breakfast. This accommodation should comply with the current rules for the labor union in Iceland, provide a private bathroom and breakfast, and be within a radius no longer than 5 km from the client's accommodation. The travel agent will notify in case of exceptions. 

  • 1b.d. Discounts for multi-day tours apply only to packages with more than 3 full day tours run by 2Go Iceland Travel (8 hours or more). Discounts for multi-day tours are available only for the following months: January, February, March, May, September, October and November. Discounts do not apply to the add-ons activities of the tour. The discount will be applied at the time of booking and cannot be combined with any other offer. The tour operator reserves the right to modify or cancel the discount offer at any time without prior notice. 

 

1c. CANCELLATIONS - VOLCANO TOUR 

  • The cancellation of the volcano hike is as follows:

  • 1c.a. You must cancel for a full refund 24 hours before the experience's start time. Refunds will always include a minimum of 5% charge to cover transactional fees due to the refund process. 

  • 1c.b. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the experience's start time, a 40% cancelation fee applies. (CFP policy applies, ref.1a)*.

  • 1c.c. Any changes made less than 24 hours before the experience's start should be confirmed with our team. (CFP policy applies, ref.1a)*.

  • 1c.d. You'll be offered a different date or a full refund if we cancel it due to poor weather. 

  • 1.c.e. Cancellations due to booking errors by failing to read the tour information are subject to an additional 25% refund penalty and the 5% transaction fee. Please note that this will apply to the volcano tour if you cancel with the argument of expecting glowing lava if the time was booked when the volcano was not active. This information is disclosed on the tour information.

 

1d. CANCELLATIONS - FULL DAY TOURS WITH MORE THAN SIX HOURS AND SIGNATURE TOURS

If canceled by you before departure:

  • 1d.a. Cancelations made after booking confirmation and up to 8 days before the first tour, full refund minus transactional fees**.

  • 1d.b. Cancelations are made 2 to 7 days before the first tour or service, a fee of 15% of the total paid.

  • 1d.c. If you cancel less than 48 hours before the experience's start time, the amount you paid will not be refunded. (CFP policy applies, ref.1a)*.

If canceled by us -after- the final payment due to unforeseen  circumstances (weather or unexpected events):

  • You receive a 100% refund of the total paid to us.

 

1e. CANCELLATIONS - MULTI-DAY PACKAGES NOT INCLUDING ACCOMMODATION

If canceled by you before departure without any reason to justify the cancelation: 

  • 1e.a. Cancelations made after booking confirmation and up to 8 days before the first tour, full refund minus transactional fees**.

  • 1e.b. Cancelations are made 2 to 7 days before the first tour or service, a fee of 20% of the total paid.

  • 1e.c. No refund is possible for cancellations made less than 48 hours before the first tour or service (CFP policy, ref.1a)*.

If canceled by us -after- the final payment due to unforeseen  circumstances (weather or unexpected events):

  • You receive a 100% refund of the total paid to us.

1f. SPECIAL CONDITIONS

  • 1f-a. We will always prioritize rescheduling when possible and review all the refunds in the case of "Force Majeure, including pandemic cases." For example, we may change dates or issue vouchers if the trip is postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.

  • 1f-b. When Blue Lagoon is part of the day tour or package, no refund is possible if canceled within less than 72 hours before the booking time of this activity. We will mediate and check with the supplier to amend or change dates to avoid loss.

  • 1f-c. For activities and Add-ons included on your booking and operated by a supplier, no refund if possible for cancelations within less than 48 hours. We will mediate and check with the supplier to amend or change dates to avoid loss.

  • 1f-d. You will be informed about the TC that applies for accommodations included in your booking.

  • 1f-e. *Cancelations related to a pandemic will be considered for refunds, and proof can be required for the refund. Transactional costs of up to 10% of the booking apply.

  • 1f-f. ** Refunds will always include a minimum of 5% charge to cover transactional fees due to the refund process.
